Comments back on; bring on the final Qs

Just when things got interesting, I had to shut down the Comments for a while because a real wacky one made its way through.

With only a few days left before I take a break and decide what I'm going to do next, I welcome your feedback, critiques and questions.

I'll have a few more things to say between now and Monday.

Chris,

You need to keep this blog going. I find your stuff very entertaining. I know that you need to focus on life and a new career, but why not keep the blog open and just post whenever you feel like it? I know that I would check in and read it.

Please don't end this blog, Mr. Botta. I enjoy your hockey insights.

I would like to know what your whole round about opinion is of Rick DiPietro. Talent level, personality (does he have an ego?), competitiveness, drive, ability to take the Isles to the next level, future vezina candidate?, what the perception of DP is from other teams/players around the league... anything you can think of...
Thanks Chris. Love the blog and it will be sad to see you go.

Any way to get a replay of your broadcast on XM?

I echo the sentiments of the others, you are outworking your "Blog Children" and we wouldn't have a new quote machine without you.

In all seriousness, your knack for word wizardry has everyone entertained and it would be an absolute shame to lose such an asset.

Keep on goin on CB.

Hey Chris,

Just wanted to say that it's a shame to see this blog come to an end. Hockey has such a hard time finding press in the US and especially in such a small market like Long Island. But just because the numbers are smaller doesn't mean that all the fans are gone and through websites like this blog, hockeybuzz, islandermania, etc i can see that they're plenty of intelligent die hard dedicated fans still out there desperate for more information.

You, Gallof, and Logan are 3 of the most important things to happen to the Islander's media presence in a long long while. (Ok, through ITV in there too.) Thank you.

Chris...try to figure out a way to continue. Your unique insight gives us die hard fans a window into how this organization thinks. Fans like us don't really have anything like your blog anywhere else...

Thanks and keep it coming!

Chris, I want to echo all the other posters and ask you to please reconsider ending this blog. It's one of the few I read religiously. Even posting once a week or whenever you get a moment would be greatly appreciated. I enjoy your insight, and even though I don't always agree with your point of view, it makes for an interesting read.

Chris,
I hope you do keep the blog up and post comments when you have time. You tell it like it is and we all love what you have to say. I hope there's a way you can keep the comments coming. I wish you well in your future endeavors. Thanks for everything.

I think popular demand insists that you keep this blog going past the cutoff date. Are you going to deny the will of the people on this July 4th?

I'm not saying it has to be a full-time effort, but I bet you'll get an itch to post something on some lazy Sunday afternoon this autumn.

Seriously, if you do close down it has been a wonderful read and a wonderful ride.

Thanks for everything, CB,

Please don't end this extremely insightful blog....

Anyone, I just want to know what it was like to see Dale Hunter leave the building in 1993 playoffs?

really enjoy your thoughts and perspective as a fan and PR guy.
Hope just as much that you keep it going past July 7

And I should add that I say that not even being an Isles fan or NY resident (I'm in Canada)..

Another Canadian here and it's refreshing to read your insight and opinions to the team I love as opposed to the Debbie Downers on the message boards.

Please keep up the blog if you can.

Or save all of your opinions and stories for a book.

CB.

You are a great read and I hope you can find some way to keep the blog running, if you can. You have proven to be the most insightful and honest voice the team has.

More importantly, your presence on the Team is greatly missed. This Team has made strides in improving the relationship with its fans, but your loss has been a serious setback. One that it may not recover from until after this current front office is gone.

Best of luck in your future endeavors!

Today I will wear black and await what may be your final entry. You are too important a voice, and too talented a writer for the hockey world to lose. You underestimate the depth of the void your absence will leave.
Wishing you nothing but the best of everything.

Chris,
Thanks so much for all of your hard work for us fans. I too will miss your blogs. Best of luck to you and please know that you have been an important part of many fans' quest for info/opinions/stories, all things Isles related. Thanks again!
