OMG, Sugden's coming to camp

At 9:15 pm I listened to a voicemail message on my cell that I probably will never forget. It was Brandon Sugden, shaking and ecstatic.

"Hey Chris. I just got a call from Bill Daly. He talked to the other four teams. They're giving me the green light. Mr. Daly is clearing me. I'm coming to Islanders training camp. I hoped to get you on the phone, but for now - thank you. I'm heading back to the rink tonight for some more skating."

The dream of Brandon Sugden and his dad lives on.

Just heard about this on TSN at this link: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=249415&lid=headline&lpos=topStory_nhl

Great job as always, Chris. There's no doubt in my mind this started with you. Unbelievable. You should be proud.

Now see what you can do about this Lighthouse thing. Haha.

I think it is fantastic that, although you no longer work for this organization, you still chose to use your influence and urge that the right thing be done. You are a true hockey fan, Chris... and you will always be an Islander!

Nice job Chris...Amazing. Listen any chance you can lobby for Butchie Goring like this? He has absolutely been treated like .... by the Islanders. He should have been given a better shot when he was here, and right now there is an open assistant coach position. Who is more qualified than he? It's a joke that he wasn't considered for the head coach job. Also, why has he decided to hang around Nassau Coliseum instead of get a job elsewhere? He is a definite cup winning coach if he went elsewhere. Explain

I paid you some compliments over at my site.
